    Nievina is a Valencia-based skin-care brand. It all started in the Loras laboratory with Luis Loras López, who ran the La Morera chemist on Calle de las Barcas in Valencia. In the storeroom of this chemist, Valencia-based figures from the arts, letters and sciences, including Santiago Ramón y Cajal, used to meet.

    The story goes that these laboratories were home to one of the first telephones in Valencia, with number 1. In 1926, they moved the facilities to a new, more spacious building, also on Calle de las Barcas. There they manufactured cosmetic products like Fijador Loras and there celebrated cream Nievina, known nationwide for its affordable price and efficacy since it was created in 1934, acquired in 1980 by Laboratorios Vigmar.

    Vicente Giner Matesanz, the current managing director of the company, founded Laboratorios Vigmar in 1975 and acquired the Nievina brand in 1980, beginning to expand the product line. Laboratorios Vigmar, from the beginning, has always tried to give its products value added, using the best raw materials, offering customers top-quality personalised service. Laboratorios Vigmar's long history gives it a privileged position in the cosmetic sector.
